the way I see it, part II
When I tell people that I’ve made mistakes, they laugh it off and say ‘You don’t know what real mistakes are yet’. How old do you have to be to finally make real mistakes? What makes a mistake real?
What makes a mistake real is implications. Consequences. Things that cannot be changed.
I spoke to my dad recently, about my problems and issues. He replied with the standard ‘I’m a working man. My problems are much bigger. People at work make mistakes every day, and I have to deal with it. You don’t understand yet.’
Then he stopped, and thought,
‘Actually,’ he said, ‘your problems are bigger than mine. And you know why?’
‘Why?’
‘Because I know how to fix my problems’.
